UK Soul/Funk Artist DINA VASS Drops Electrifying LatinHouse Dance Single “GIVE YOU MY LOVE”

This 26th March 2021, dance powerhouse Dina Vass tackles insecurity in relationships in her high-energy new single

Exploding into the lockdown airwaves is established UK soul/funk artist Dina Vass with her danceable new Latin House single, ‘Give You My Love’. With Spanish guitars and tropical flavour, the soulful funky house single was inspired by Dina’s personal experience of being in a complicated relationship with someone insecure, which makes them possessive and controlling.

Lyrically, she explores her feelings about their behaviour - and makes it clear that although she loves them, she’s pushing back:

“I’m compassionate about their insecurity, but at the same time, I make it clear that I won't take any more hurtful behaviour. I explain in an honest, loving way so they can understand what they’re doing.” – DINA VASS

The majority of Dina’s upcoming new music, in fact, is inspired by relatable situations in life and love experienced by the soulful artist, who finds that making music therapeutic.

“Whether I’m happy or down, I use my music as an outlet — a kind of therapy to release and let go of that chapter, especially in troubled times. I’ll get a melody floating around in my head, and it has to be recorded, even if it’s 3am!” – DINA VASS

Originally recorded and produced in 2004, the single was written, arranged and engineered by Dina herself, with Spanish guitar riffs played by session musician Mark Johns. The song was recently reworked and remixed by Dina at her pro home studio.

This single marks the reemergence of Dina Vass on the modern dance landscape.

What is CMWS Music about?

In the the music industry you’ll find that many major labels or subsidiary independents ‘follow’ what they may ‘think’ is in fashion at the time, and so limit and cap the true potential and talent of the artists there they have signed and creative expression.

To us, this is like not watering plants, causing them to wither away. A strange metaphor, but when an artist is held back from expressing themselves as they develop and grow, this can not only leave the artist/creative feeling unsupported, but can also affect their well being and mental health. CMWS music initially started as an artist development set up, with experienced performers helping with building new artists confidence on stage and within themselves. Coaching them and teaching them the importance of staying grounded and being motivated by their passions, not just the fame. That way real enjoyment and inner peace remains the creativity can flow and flourish!

It’s been known to many that in the industry with majors labels, creative control can be taken away completely from the Artist, turning them into performing puppets. Although for some Artists it can work and this is not to say major labels don’t know what they are doing. For sure, manufactured artists do very well. But they get burnt out and things contractually can also get a little awkward.

We don’t focus our attention on just ‘ the looks’ of an artist. i.e ‘ The Image’ importance that the major’s like to focus on. We do like to work with the Artist to develop professionalism, but most important of all we focus on “Raw Talent” The kind of voices that make your hair stand on end, the singer songwriters that sing and write songs that pull your heart strings, or make you feel that they have been where you are at and what your going through. We work with Music producers that are of the same ilk.

We focus on creatives that have lots of talent but also have a good head on their shoulders. Here at CMWS Music, we don’t just say ‘join the family’ You are part of our family and we make music, we socialise and we eat and laugh together! It’s all about quality music and friendship too. This is how real music survives.

What we do is simple, we love seeing artists grow and express their craft with no negativity and never with any judgement. There may be the odd constructive criticisms here and there as that’s what experienced individuals are there to do - to help our talented artists grow. But never ever do we bring a person down. We are always on a mission to lift everyone!

Then, you see how they hit the charts and get the exposure they deserve! It should not take 10 or 20 years like it has for some of the greatest artists and singer songwriters we celebrate today who are timeless, ageless. New artists should not have to go through the long winded process of ‘working with an already established producer or artist’ so they can ‘build their biog and profile up’.
